Currently planning my next adventure.

Intro

With a background in entrepreneurial ventures, nonprofits, and the public sector, I am a mission-driven professional bringing diverse experience and a unique viewpoint to every job. Let’s turn your mission into poetry in motion.

Work

I put my heart into my career. I prefer to be passionate about the roles I undertake, and thrive in high-stakes, high-visibility environments. A common theme in my work is utilizing lived experience to create powerful stories connecting audiences to issues, and motivating those audiences to act.

As a Civil Rights Investigator, I have used my influence in the field to expand high-impact, Executive-level understanding of the intricacies of Civil Rights work. In my previous roles as a founder, I have worn almost every hat there is. Throughout my career, I have sought projects that require direct experience developing strategic messaging and vision implementation in high-stakes situations.

CV

Many people have described as a wordsmith, and a multi-faceted one. I have built brands from the ground up; ghost written for Directors of three different California state departments; and composed investigation reports used in court.

My pandemic hobby was getting an MBA. Although I am not an influencer, my recent posts on my personal Instagram account have an above-average engagement rate. I was recently appointed to be the co-chair of a state-wide steering committee of the California Civil Rights Officer’s Council.

I’m based in California, but love to travel to ensure continuity across longer engagements and special projects. I am happy to adjust my schedule to accommodate different time zones.

I also have a passion for discovering great food, whether in a Michelin star restaurant or a pop-up cart. Let’s grab a bite and talk strategy.

Additional Information

I have conducted extensive work on internal communications for the State of California. Although I cannot provide links for policy and security reasons, I can connect interested parties with others who can verify my work on projects, which include designing strategy and content for California’s Department of Transportation around Diversity and Equity communications for an audience of approximately 20,000; overseeing communication for the multi-hundred person membership of a statewide board of Civil Rights Professionals; and developing extensive reporting structure templates and language for investigations at the Department of Rehabilitation.
